Lingle Fort Laramie played host to the 2A East Regional wrestling tournament on Saturday.  Defending 2A state champion Moorcroft took first in the team standings with 211.5 points. Wright was a distant 2nd with 152.5 with Southeast 3rd with 134

Individually,  Colton Coffman of Lusk won the 106-pound crown with an 8-4 win over Joel Costello of Lingle. Southeast posted a win at 113 pounds thanks to Brock Blevins who pinned Keagan Baker of Wright. At 120 pounds, the winner there was Mica Herrera of Moorcroft with a 12-3 win over Justin Shotwell of Saratoga. Preston Seamonds of Wright captured the 126-pound title beating Owen Hair of Sundance 18-2.

Moving over to 132, Glenrock’s Dustin Simmons took the podium with a 4-2 victory over Kden Tescher of Wright. At 138, Deonte Taylor from Hulett took first with a pin over Greg Logsdon from Southeast. Moorcrofts Parker Seeley is 47-3 after a win over Braxton Quiroz of Wright by injury default. At 152 pounds, Kyle Breen of Tongue River got by Darrian Black of Moorcroft 7-6.

Moving over to 170, Moorcroft’s Hunter Garoutte defeated Zane Rising 13-4 to take first at that weight class. Emery Bemis from Lusk beat Wyatt Peters of Moorcroft 6-0 to take the gold at 170. Moving over to 182,  Rowdy Pfeil from Moorcroft is 42-3 on the year following a pin over Josh Pridgeon of Sundance.

Dekken Mayer kept the ball rolling for Moorcroft at 195 pounds with a pin over Tate Carson of Southeast at 195.  The 220-pound winner was Parker Schlater of Moorcroft thanks to a win over Zeb Goodrich of Wright in another injury default. Finally, at 220, Will Baker of Southeast pinned Sheldon Jolley of Hulett to up his record to 28-6.
