The fourth stop on the WyoPreps Preseason Basketball Tour in 2025 took us back to Big Horn High School, but this time it was to visit the boys after an early morning practice. The Rams made the state tournament last season, but finished with an overall record under .500. While Big Horn lost five seniors, the core of last year’s team returns for the 2025-26 season.

WYOPREPS PRESEASON BASKETBALL TOUR: BIG HORN BOYS BASKETBALL

The Rams bring back four starters from last year in Cruz Hernandez, Caleb Adsit, Chase Garber, and Bridger Doke. That means 70 percent of Big Horn’s scoring and 76 percent of its rebounding returns. Adsit was last season’s leading scorer at 9.3 per game. Garber added eight points and a team-high eight rebounds per night. Doke averaged 7.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. All three were all-conference selections in the 2A East. Between their size and some better shooting from the perimeter, the Rams could make some noise in 2026.

To preview Big Horn's season, WyoPreps interviewed two players and the head coach

WyoPreps caught up with Adsit and Camden Burrup to discuss how practice has gone, what they see out of this year’s team, some of the strengths, some areas to improve, and more. We also visited with head coach Cody Ball, who begins his sixth season at the helm. Those interviews are in the video at the top of the story.

Big Heads to the Burns Insurance Winter Classic on Friday and Saturday. They take on Southeast, Burns, and Wheatland over two days of action.

Big Horn Rams Boys Basketball Preseason Practice 2025

The Big Horn Rams scrimmaged and got some teamwork in during preseason practice in December 2025.
