Big Piney Team Ropers Battle in State Rodeo Finals

The high school rodeo season in Wyoming ended in chilly fashion weather-wise in Gillette on Saturday but there were some smokin' hot runs and rides. The team roping race was perhaps the most dramatic competition as the final two pairs were tied going in with a whopping 216 points. And the matchups pitted brother against brother. Arye Espenscheid got the upper hand over his brother (Jade) to earn the win with partner Kolby Bradley. They are best friends and grew up next to each other in Big Piney. Next up will be the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs July 14-20
