Big Piney's Colby Jenks really put on a show at the 2A 2022 State Track Meet last month. He placed first in the 800-meter run, first in the 1600 meters, and first in the 300 hurdles. He took 2nd in the 400 meters so that was a 38-point performance for his Puncher team.

Jenks had a tremendous finish to the 1600 run as he rallied in the last 75 meters to edge Al Spotted at the finish line and that was a great display of fortitude. Jenks also had an unusual experience in the 300 hurdles and managed to prevail there.

He competed for Wind River in his sophomore season and won the 2A 800 meters you don't see too many folks win back-to-back state championships in track for different schools.

We had a chance to talk with Jenks after his effort in the 1600 meters. Enjoy!
