Sheridan soccer player Zander Cleland had a productive junior season with the Broncs as they finished with a 14-4-2 record. Sheridan took 3rd at the 4A State Tournament with a 1-0 win over Rock Springs, a 3-0 loss to eventual State Champion Jackson, and a 2-1 over Kelly Walsh in the 3rd place match. He will take his skills to the next level with a commitment to the South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City.

Cleland as a midfielder scored one goal and had 8 assists in the 2024 season with 25 shots taken and 13 of them on goal. He played in 19 matches and had a lot of responsibility on the pitch. In addition to his high school varsity play, Cleland played on the Wyoming Cup Championship team that qualified for the Far West Regionals in Hawaii and won the U-19 State Championship with the Sheridan Storm

Cleland also wrestled for Sheridan and qualified for the 4A State Tournament at 106 pounds. The South Dakota School of Mines is a Division II institution and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference.
