WyoPreps would like to congratulate three senior basketball players in the state for surpassing 1000 points in their high school career.

First is Pinedale senior Roxanne Rogers, who reached the mark last month. She has helped the Wranglers to an 8-2 start this season and the No. 3 ranking in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Girls Basketball Poll. Rogers is averaging 18.8 points per game, which leads the 3A West and is fourth in Class 3A in the state. She’s shooting 53 percent from the field and 86 percent at the free-throw line. Rogers also contributes 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 4.1 steals per contest.

Second is Upton senior Luca Brooks, who also reach 1,000 points last month. He has guided the defending 1A champion Bobcats to a 9-0 start this season and the No. 1 ranking in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Boys Basketball Poll. Brooks averages 20.4 points per game, good for second in Class 1A boys basketball. He shoots 50 percent from the floor and 78 percent at the charity stripe. Brooks also adds a class-leading five assists and 3.1 steals per game.

The third senior is Brice Hansen at Lyman High School. She surpassed the mark in Thursday's win over Kemmerer. Hansen had helped the Eagles to a 10-1 record so far this season. Lyman is ranked second in the most recent WyoPreps Coaches and Media Girls Basketball Poll for Class 3A. Hansen averages 13.9 points per game and shoots 52 percent from the field. She adds 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and also shoots 37 percent from 3-point range.
