Class 2A is topped by Wheatland in the second poll of the season. The Bulldogs move up one position. They received eight first-place votes. Mountain View climbs one spot to second. Torrington, No. 1 in the preseason, falls to third after a close loss to Gering, NE in Week 0. Defending champion Lyman holds steady in fourth. The Tongue River Eagles jump into the top five at No. 5.

The Bolts are alone at the top of Class 4A after being tied in the preseason poll. Thunder Basin earned 13 first-place votes. Sheridan, Rock Springs, and Natrona County each move up one spot to second, third, and fourth, respectively. Cheyenne East falls from a tie for first down to fifth after a close home loss to Thunder Basin in Week 0.

The final classification with a new team at the top is Class 1A-9 man. The Lusk Tigers take over the top spot despite having two fewer first-place votes than Southeast. The Cyclones fall to second. The rest of the rankings stayed the same. Shoshoni holds in third. Pine Bluffs and Rocky Mountain are still tied for fourth.

Both Class 3A and 1A-6 Man are the same top five as the preseason rankings.

Jackson stays at the top of 3A. They received more first-place votes than Cody this week. Those Broncs are second. Then, it’s Powell, Douglas, and Star Valley to round out the top five.

Finally, in 6-man, Meeteetse lost to an out-of-state opponent last week. That didn’t impact the Longhorns. They remain at No. 1 with eight first-place votes. Farson-Eden is steady in second. Encampment, Little Snake River, and Dubois are also in the same position as a week ago.
