For the first time since the preseason rankings, the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll includes a team from the West Conference in the top five.

The Cody Fillies broke through in this week’s rankings. The rest of the top five remained the same.

Cody received votes in five of the polls this season, but they make their debut in the eighth set of rankings in 2022. The Fillies are undefeated in conference games. They check in at No. 5.

Campbell County stayed at the top for the fourth straight week. The Camels earned 15 of the 16 first-place votes.

Cheyenne Central, Thunder Basin, and Laramie were second, third, and fourth again. The Bolts were the only other team that received a first-place vote.

Of note, the voting closed before Thunder Basin beat Campbell County in a doubleheader on Tuesday night. The Camels suffered their first loss in conference play this season.
