Cody Stays Unbeaten and Takes #1 Seed in the 3A West
The Cody Broncs have been the standard bearer in 3A football all season and for that matter last season too. The Broncs dispatched Evanston on Friday night 48-14 to get to 7-0 on the year and earned the #1 seed from the 3A West.
Cody opened the scoring with a Grayson Beaudrie touchdown gallop that covered 16 yards with Luke Talich following that up with a 35-yard run to the end zone. By the time you could blink your eye, the Broncs increased the lead to 21 as Jack Schroeder entered his name in the scorebook. Cody out the game away with three more touchdowns in the first half as Beaudrie scored again as well as Remy Broussard and Grady McCarten.
Cody is certainly the favorite heading into the 3A tournament and will finish the regular season with a road game against their neighbor Powell this Friday. Evanston's is 1-7 heading into the season finale at home against Green River. The Red Devils have been eliminated from the playoff chase.
A big thank you to Dave Treick who provided some great images from that match-up on Friday night. They can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
