In a rugged 2A playoff game in Dayton, Cokeville muscled their way past Tongue River 17-0 to advance to the semi-final round. Tongue River was hampered by some turnovers and Cokeville took advantage of that. The Panthers came into the game with the #2 running attack in 2A with Jack Dayton leading the classification with 110 yards rushing per game. When Cokeville can run the ball, the clock moves very, very quickly so opponents may not see the ball too much on offense.

Tongue River came in with the #1 defense in 2A and they played well enough to win. The Eagle offense struggled and was shut out twice in the last 3 games. Quarterback Conner Cummins finished the year with 17 touchdown passes. Tongue River wraps up the year at 8-2 and made their first playoff appearance since 2016.

Cokeville has been a stalwart in Wyoming High School football forever it seems. The last time the Panthers missed the playoffs was back in 1992. Cokeville now has another long road trip, this time to Lovell for a 2A semi-final round game on Saturday at 1 pm.
