Douglas Girls Basketball Postgame Remarks

Douglas has been the gold standard in 3A girls basketball for quite some time now and they just re-load and continue to win championships. For the last few years, the Bearcats relied on Allyson Fertig who plays for the University of Wyoming as well as Joslin Igo who plays for Casper College. Now it's the Olsen sisters, Allison and Lauren who have taken the reins and led the team to a 45-37 win over Lyman on Saturday for the 3A championship. That's 5 state titles in the last 6 years and it wasn't as easy as it looked to win the 2022 championship.

We talked with Allison and Lauren Olsen along with coach Cody Helenbolt about Saturday's game and the season as a whole. Enjoy!
