Douglas has control of the 3A East with 2 weeks remaining in the regular season following a 56-7 victory over Riverton on Friday. The Bearcats are 5-1 overall and their lone loss was to Jackson but also posted a quality win over Buffalo. On Friday night, the Cats went to work quickly following an interception as quarterback Trey Rinn found Jackson Hughes for a touchdown to give Douglas a 7-0 lead. The Bearcats doubled the lead as Rinn rambled in for a touchdown later in the first and then took a 3-touchdown lead as Rinn threw to Luke Skeen for another score.

Riverton finally got on the board thanks to Braden Vincent who got to the end zone on the keeper but that would be all the scoring for the Wolverines. Following that, Karson Ewing bulled his way into the end zone, Hughes scored again on a long run from a jet sweep and Brock Pyle added a score.

Douglas has had the upper hand in their rivalry with Riverton and the Bearcats will host Rawlins on Friday. Riverton is 1-6 on the year and will travel to Buffalo this week. We have a few pics of that game on Friday in Fremont County courtesy of Riverton High School. Enjoy!
