Defending 3a state champion star valley continued their march towards another state championship as they posted a convincing win over Douglas in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs. This game was close in the first quarter as Dean Shaw reeled off a 43 yard run for a touchdown for star valley to make it 7-0. Douglas came up with a 1 yard run for a score from Gabe Borman. The extra point was missed and it was 7-6.

In the 2nd quarter, Star Valley super back R.J. Cazier cruised 15 yards for a touchdown so that gave the Braves a 14-6 lead. The Douglas special teams made a play by blocking a punt and Caden Dowse recovered the loose ball and ran it in for a touchdown so the Bearcats right in it at 14-12. Cazier scored his Td of the game on a 1 yard run so The Braves led 21-12 at halftime.

Star Valley put some distance between themselves and Douglas with a couple of touchdowns. Cazier for the 3rd time following an interception so the lead increased to 28-12. Brant Nelson then threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Chase Merrill so it was getting out of hand at 35-12. Merrill added a 4th quarter touchdown and a field goal as Star Valley gets to 10-0 on the season with a 45-12 win over Douglas. The Braves will host Jackson in the 3a semi-finals. The Bearcats finish the campaign at 5-4
