Encampment’s Lizzi James Signs with CSU-Pueblo for Track
Lizzi James has been a solid all-around athlete for the Encampment Tigers in her career and will continue her athletic journey at Colorado State-Pueblo for track and field. She competes in the throwing events and so far this season, she has a toss of 34 feet, 6 and a half inches. She did that at the Ted Schroeder Meet in Rock Springs and that distance was a personal record. In the discus, her best effort this season is 107 feet, 2 and 3 quarter inches set at the Burt Willford Meet in Saratoga. Last week at the Wiseman Meet in Torrington, James finished 4th in the shot-put at 33-2.5 and placed 4th in the discus with a toss of 95-1 in some windy conditions.
James also competed for the Encampment volleyball and basketball teams. She was an all-conference selection in basketball this past season as she averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds per game. James had a 19 point game against Dubois and an 18 point effort against Farson-Eden.
