Eva Nitschke of Rawlins Sweeps 3A Hurdles at State Track Meet

Eva Nitschke has certainly made a name for herself as she repeated as the 3A state champion in the 100 and 300 hurdle events at the State Track Meet in Casper. Her time of 15.03 in the 100 was the Best of the Best and ran 45.37 to win the 300. A year ago, she swept the 3A hurdles events at the state meet, going 15.74 in the 100 and 46.08 in the 300. Nitschke also placed 2nd in the 200 meters at state this year and anchored the Outlaws state championship 1600 medley relay team.

She also excelled at indoor track in 2022 with a state title in the 55 hurdles and a 7th place finish in the 400. We caught up with her to capture some thoughts on her amazing accomplishments at the State Track Meet. Enjoy!
