The 2024 football season began with a one-versus-two showdown last Saturday in Baggs. No. 2 Little Snake River hosted top-ranked Burlington in a 6-man championship game rematch. The Rattlers got their revenge and made a statement with a 70-18 victory.

A 27-yard interception return TD by Bridger Cozzens less than a minute into the game gave LSR a lead they never relinquished. It was 28-6 after the first quarter and 57-12 at halftime. The Rattlers returned the second-half kick-off for a TD, and the Huskies had no answers.

Little Snake River QB Mason Jones threw for 153 yards and 5 TDs. Cozzens scored 4 TDs in all three phases. He ran for one TD, caught one TD pass, and had the INT and kickoff return TDs. LSR held the Huskies to 248 yards of offense and forced four turnovers.
