Two Teams Make Triumphant Returns To The Football Rankings After Years In The Shadows

Two teams that have not been in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Football Poll in five and six years, respectively, made their 2025 debut on Wednesday. The new rankings saw a change in the lowest three classifications, but none in the top two or among the No. 1-ranked teams. Little Snake River, Pine Bluffs, Big Horn, Star Valley, and Sheridan remained at the top of their division. Only the Rattlers were a unanimous pick for first. Star Valley and Sheridan were one vote shy. The new teams were H.E.M. in 6-man. The Miners haven’t been ranked since the preseason poll in 2020. The other new squad was Burns in 2A, who hasn’t been part of the top five since the final rankings in 2019. The other differences were Farson-Eden in 6-man and Big Piney in 9-man, who both moved up one spot.

1 = Little Snake River

2 = Encampment

3 = Farson-Eden

4 = Burlington

5 = H.E.M.

Class 1A 9-man:

1 = Pine Bluffs

2 = Big Piney

3 = Saratoga

4 = Lingle-Ft. Laramie

5 = Greybull

Class 2A:

1 = Big Horn

2 = Mountain View

3 = Lovell

4 = Cokeville

5 = Burns
