PhotoFest: Gillette Early Bird Basketball Tournament

The basketball season is underway and Gillette played host to a tournament over the weekend with 7 schools from Wyoming, 2 from South Dakota, one from Nebraska and one from North Dakota. So the competition was intense right off the bat, which should pay dividends down the road.

For the boy's teams from Wyoming, Douglas went 2-1, with Thunder Basin, Campbell County, Torrington, Buffalo, and Cody going 1-2. Worland was 0-3 for the weekend. On the girl's side, Douglas and Cody, 2 of the favorites in 3A this season both went 3-0. Torrington, Buffalo, Campbell County, and Thunder Basin went 1-2 and Worland was 0-3. The basketball season is a marathon and not a sprint so there's plenty of room for growth for all the teams.
