Thunder Basin softball player Makynzie Loftus has committed to Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE.

Loftus was an all-conference and honorable-mention all-state player for the Bolts last spring during the inaugural season of high school softball in Wyoming.

She helped the Bolts to a 17-5 overall record in the 2021 season. Loftus was also a team captain.

TBHS head coach Doug Cox called her, “A team leader on and off the field.”

Loftus hit .289 during the season.

Cox added, “She was a lockdown left fielder with above-average speed and a great glove.”

Loftus will play for head coach Iris Woodhead in the Northeast CC Hawks program. They were 10-48 in the spring 2021 season. Northeast Community College competes in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).
