Cheyenne Central softball player Izzy Thomas will continue her career at Chadron State in Nebraska. In her junior season, Thomas hit .388 with 7 home runs and 30 runs batted in. The junior was invaluable on defense as she could patrol all 3 outfield positions and was named All-Conference as the Indians went 11-14 in 2024.

She was an All-Conference performer in her sophomore season, hitting .554 with 7 home runs, 34 RBIs, and 44 runs scored. She also played 14 varsity games as a freshman and has earned valuable experience on the Cheyenne Havoc club softball team.

Chadron State is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Eagles were 12-38 in softball in 2024.
