Jackson’s Charlie Hoelscher Wanted the Gatorade Award for Boys Soccer
The Gatorade Company recently handed out its Wyoming Boys Soccer Player of the Year Award to Jackson’s Charlie Hoelscher.
WyoPreps’ David Settle had a recent video visit with Mr. Hoelscher to get his reaction to receiving this honor, what it means to him, describing how he felt his soccer season went and more. You can watch the full video interview at the top of this story.
Hoelscher helped the Jackson Hole Broncs win their third consecutive Class 4A boys soccer state championship in May. Jackson defeated Sheridan, 2-nil, for the title. Hoelscher was a three-time First-Team All-State selection. He had 16 goals and 22 assists during his senior season and finished with 31 goals and 42 assists in his prep career.
Charlie is heading to Minnesota to play Division-I soccer at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. The Tommies compete in the Summit League.
