The State 4A Boys Swimming and Diving Championships wrapped up on Saturday in Gillette as Laramie won the team title for the 5th straight year. The Plainsmen rang up 295 points with Cheyenne Central 2nd with 239 and Cheyenne South 3rd with 181.

Laramie picked up a win in the 100 butterfly thanks to Mace Spiker-Miller in 50.55 (that's 3 state titles in a row for him), Collin Fontana in the 500 freestyle in 4.50.51, the 200 freestyle relay in 1.29.64 as well as Dylan Bressler repeating as the diving state champion with 492.5 points.

Cheyenne Central had a couple of guys win two events Matt Pietsch took the 200 freestyle in 1.44.96 and the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.68. Central's Ethan Merrill won gold in the 299 individual medley in 1.57.9 and the 100 breaststroke in 59.13. Both Pietsch and Merrill were on two winning relays, the 400 free and the 200 medley.

Cheyenne South had a winner in Luke Constantino in the 50 free with John Spicer of Rock Springs capturing the 100 freestyle.
