The Laramie Plainsmen put a young team on the volleyball court but there could be bigger and better things ahead of them. They have a super talented player in Alexis Stucky who is a 6-2 sophomore and pounds the ball authority. Consistency and youth are hard to merge and that's was an issue that this team battled all year. At the 4A state tournament in Casper, the Plainsmen won their quarterfinal round match 3-0 over Star Valley but lost their semi-final round match to eventual champion KellyWalsh 3-0. The Plainsmen were defeated by Riverton in the consolation round 3-0 to finish 19-17. Stucky is a back to back all-state selection and was joined on the all-state list by Jessica Crane and Halley Feezer. Crane was one of 2 seniors on the team and will continue her career at Black Hills State in Spearfish, South Dakota.
