Liam Fox of Cheyenne East burst on the wrestling scene with a fantastic freshman season that ended in a 4A state championship. Fox went 52-6 last season and won the 132-pound championship with a 7-1 win over Dakota Ledford from Laramie.

This season, Fox placed first at 145 pounds in the Shane Shatto Tournament in Douglas thanks to yet another win in the title match of Dakota Ledford of Laramie. He is 24-1 this season and takes his craft very seriously and made a name for himself with the Cheyenne Wrestling Club. Fox competed at the Kids-Cadet Nationals in Fargo over the summer and went 2-2 in a very competitive field.

Fox has his sights on state title #2 and we talked to him after his first-round match in the Shatto Tournament back on Friday.
