Little Snake River’s David Hernandez Heads North for College Football
Little Snake River senior David Hernandez has signed to play football at Crown College in Minnesota.
Hernandez was part of three state championships in four seasons with the Rattlers. Last fall he helped Little Snake River win their second consecutive Class 1A 6-man football state title, with a 55-8 victory over Burlington. It was their fifth state football championship in school history.
He was a two-time all-state selection in 6-man football at LSRV.
Hernandez finished the 2022 season with 44 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and three sacks. He also blocked one kick. On offense, Hernandez had two rushing attempts for nine yards.
As a junior in the 2021 season, Hernandez had seven rushes for 34 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he finished with 42 total tackles, which included 11 tackles for loss, and four sacks. Hernandez also had five fumble recoveries in the 2021 season.
Crown College is in St. Bonifacius, MN. The Polars compete at the NCAA Division III level in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).
