Melody ZumBrunnen of Lusk Commits to UW for Track & Field

Another track and field product from the Cowboy State will be headed to the University of Wyoming to compete at the next level and that's Melody ZumBrunnen from Lusk. At the 2023 State Track Meet in Casper, she won a pair of events in 2A; the 200-meter dash in 25.88 and the triple jump at 34-3. ZumBrunnen took 2nd in the 2A 100-meter dash in 12.70 and placed 4th in the long jump with a leap of 15-5.

At the 2022 State Track Meet, ZumBrunnen took 2nd in both the 100 and the 200 with times of 12.89 and 26.73 respectively. She was 3rd in the long jump at 16-6.25 and her 4x100 relay team placed 5th. In her freshman year, she placed 7th in the 100 and the 200 and 10th in the high jump. Zumbrunnen was an all-conference volleyball player for Lusk this past season and plays on the Tiger basketball team as well
