Corbin Harris who competed in the throwing events in track & field in Torrington has signed on with Minot State in North Dakota. He won the 3A state championship in the shot put in 2019 with a winning toss of 48 feet 3 and a half inches. He took 5th in the discus at the state meet going 141-4. His efforts earned the all-state designation this past season. In 2018, Harris took 5th in the shot at the 3A state meet and 8th in discus so he made a substantial improvement from his sophomore to junior seasons. He also competed in the indoor season for track and placed 3rd in the shot at the state meet with a throw of 52-4.

Harris was also an all-state selection in football on the defensive line and his older brother Logan holds the overall state record in the shot put with a toss of 63 feet 8 and a
