Mountain View twin sisters Cami and Jayda Kenison are continuing their soccer careers at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.

The seniors are just starting their final prep soccer season. Unfortunately, both have had their high school careers cut short due to injury.

Neither got to play in 2020 because the season was canceled due to Covid. In 2021, Jayda Kenison scored 10 goals and had 1 assist, while Cami Kenison had 9 goals and 1 assist. Cami scored 8 goals and dished out 3 assists in five games of her junior year in 2022 before an injury ended her season. Jayda missed the entire 2022 season because of an injury.

Both began playing at the age of four. They have been involved with the Bridger Valley Soccer Club, played with The Evanston Express, and were members of the Avengers Soccer Club in Rock Springs.

In club action, they have helped teams take the Utah Youth Soccer State League Championship in back-to-back years, received runner-up at the Yellowstone Cup, placed first at the Utah Gold Cup, and were runner-up at the Rock Challenge, just to name a few.

Both are members of the Mountain View High School program that began in 2019. In 2021, the Kenison twins helped Mountain View reach the 3A semifinals in the program’s first full season of varsity action. The Buffalos fell in the third-place match to Worland. Mountain View took third in 2022.

Head coach Jessi Moretti said, "Jayda and Cami are two smart, dynamic, and competitive soccer players who will benefit the LCCC Program. I'm excited to watch them continue their love of soccer!"

Moretti just happens to be the twins’ mother.

A big part of their decision to choose LCCC was because of Coach Lugo Arenas, his welcoming, and his high expectations of them as athletes as well as students! It feels like a great fit!

Both have also played basketball and ran cross country at MVHS.
