It was a rematch of last year’s 4A state championship game with Sheridan taking on Natrona at Homer Scott on Friday. NC won the state title a year ago and Sheridan was looking for some measure of atonement.

Sheridan opened the scoring as quarterback Jacob Boint tossed a 3 yard TD pass to Brock Steel to put the Broncs in front 7-0.

Sheridan had a tremendous 2nd quarter Boint threw his 2nd TD pass of the contest, this time going to Toby Jacobs. That covered 19 yards to bump the lead to 14. The Broncs followed that up with a touchdown from Garrett Coon, going into the end zone from 6 yards out so Sheridan was in control.

Natrona got on the board in the 2nd quarter thanks to Jackson Wilsk who bulled his way into the end zone from 5 yards out but the Mustangs were down 24-7 at halftime as Sheridan added a 2nd quarter field goal.

Natrona did not find the end zone for the rest of the game and Sheridan found it once in the 2nd half thanks to Garrett Coon a run from a half a dozen yards out. Sheridan wins this one over Natrona 31-7 to get to 3-0 with a huge game this week against Thunder basin. NC drops to 2-1 and will meet Laramie this week.
