The Powell Panthers have enjoyed a memorable season to date in 3A football with yet another win, this time over Jackson 51-6. Panther quarterback Jhett Schwahn threw for 295 yards on 15-25 for the game. Powell had nearly 500 yards of offense and rang up nearly 200 on the ground.

The 3A West has been ultra-competitive this year with Star Valley owning the #1 seed for the upcoming postseason. Powell is 7-1 and visit 7-1 Cody on Friday to conclude the regular season. The winner of that game will be the #2 seed from the West and the loser will be the #3 seed. Plus it's a rivalry game to the max so it ought to be an intense match-up.

Jackson is 5-3 on the year and will wrap up the regular season at Star Valley, The Broncs are not out of the playoff picture but they do not control their own destiny.
