The Southeast Cyclones will be in the championship conversation in 1A -9 Man football this season and improved to 2-0 with a 34-7 win over Wright on Friday. Southeast opened the scoring in the first quarter as quarterback Ayden Desmond found TJ Moats for 10 yards and a touchdown to give the Cyclones a 7-0 lead.

Southeast took command of the game in the 2nd quarter as Tiegen Thompson scooped up a fumble and scored which was followed by a 40-yard run to the house from Desmond. Matthew Champman caught a 41-yard TD ball so it certainly was a productive quarter from the Cyclone's point of view. Wright got on the board in the 2nd stanza as Jaxson Neely grabbed a 16-yard touchdown ball from Michael Strohschien but the Panthers trailed 27-7 at halftime.

Southeast added one more score in the 3rd quarter as Desmond hooked up with Cole Sauer for a touchdown. This week, The Cyclones will travel to Moorcroft and Wright at 0-2 on the year will a tough home game on Friday hosting defending 9-Man champion Pine Bluffs.
