Lander's Reed McFadden has been one of the brightest stars in the Wyoming High School Track circuit and he's going to take his skills to the Ivy League. McFadden has committed to Princeton University in New Jersey to compete in the 400 meters and the heptathlon.

At the State 3A Indoor Track Meet earlier this year in Gillette, McFadden won the 200-meter dash in 22.71, the 400 in 50.94, and the 55 hurdles in 7.70. He also placed 3rd in the pole vault clearing 12-6.

In his junior season at the 3A State Outdoor Meet, McFadden was the state champion in the 400 in 50.06, 2nd in the 110 hurdles in 15.23 and his 4x400 relay team took the top of the podium.

So far this year, McFadden has competed in the huge Arcadia Meet in California and placed 6th in the 300 hurdles in 39.12. That's quite an accomplishment considering the competition level at Arcadia.

He's also made a name for himself as a swimmer for the powerful Lander program as he placed 2nd in the 200 Breaststroke at the 3A State Meet and took the silver medal in the 200 IM. His 200 Medley Relay team won the 3A state title.

McFadden has a GPA of 4.0 and will enter the pre-med program at Princeton
