Riverton’s Savannah Morton Will Join Northwest College for Soccer
Riverton senior Savannah Morton has signed to play soccer at Northwest College in Powell.
Morton has been a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference selection as a defender for the Wolverines.
In their first year in Class 4A last spring (2023 season), Riverton finished 13-5-1 overall and 9-2-1 in the 4A West Conference. The Wolverines won the regular season conference crown last season. Riverton was third at the 4A West Regional and qualified for the 4A state tournament.
As a defender, Morton had two goals and four points during her junior season in 2023. As a sophomore in 2022, Savannah scored one goal and dished out two assists.
Northwest College in Powell, WY is part of the NJCAA. The Trappers are members of Region IX. They finished the 2023 season at 10-8. Northwest was fifth in the Region IX standings at 6-4. The Trappers head coach is Rob Hill.
Morton will play her senior season of soccer in the spring of 2024.
