The recognitions keep piling up for a Sheridan HS grad and current Univ. of Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball player.

Junior Kayla Woodward was selected to the 2014 WBCA Division I Coaches' Honorable Mention All-America Team.

It's the first such honor of her career and she is one of five Cowgirls in school history to earn the award.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced the awards Saturday in a ceremony held at the Bridgestone Arena during the 2014 NCAA® Women's Final Four® Super Saturday festivities.

The 10-member team was decided from a group of 52 finalists by the selection committee at an in-person meeting held during the 2014 WBCA National Convention.

Last month, she was among four individuals to be selected as a regional finalist to the WBCA All-Region VII Team.

A 5-11, forward from Sheridan, Wyo., Woodward led the Cowgirls in scoring (16.7 ppg), minutes played (35.5 mpg), field goals made (6.2 fgm) and attempts (15.3 fga).
