In a battle of two very talented teams in the 1A 9-Man ranks, Shoshoni held court at home and edged Rocky Mountain 28-20. Shoshoni got to 3-1 overall and Rocky Mountain is 2-2 in what turned out to be an excellent football game.

Shoshoni kicked off the scoring with a 2-yard run for a touchdown from Dom Jarvis so the Wranglers led early 7-0. Rocky Mountain stormed right back with a 3-yard run for a score from quarterback Carsyn Weber but the extra point missed so it was 7-6

The game went back and forth and Shoshoni's Pehton Truempler got into the end zone from 9 yards out and the Wranglers took a 14-6 lead. The Grizzlies responded yet again as Weber threw a 21-yard touchdown strike to Keldon Boettcher and with the successful 2-point try, the game was knotted at 14.

The Wranglers regained the lead thanks to a 50-yard fumble return for a touchdown from Cannon Campbell which turned out to be a gigantic play, giving Shoshoni a 21-14 lead. The Wranglers gave themselves a bit of breathing room as quarterback Alex Mills found Jaxon Stanley for 20 yards and a TD to make it 28-14 in the first half of play. Rocky Mountain inched closer in the 2nd half with a Maddox Ames touchdown. The extra point was missed again so the Grizz was down 28-20. The defenses for both teams played their hearts out with Shoshoni hanging in to win by 8. The Wranglers have a Thursday night home game against Riverside while Rocky Mountain will be at home on Friday to host Greybull.
