Two new boys’ teams entered the top fives in the final WyoPreps Coaches and Media Soccer Polls of the 2026 season. Powell made its season debut in the 3A boys’ rankings. Cheyenne Central rejoined the 4A boys’ poll for the first time since the preseason rankings back in mid-March. Both of the boys’ top fives had one more change compared to last week’s poll.

LAST WYOPREPS WEEKLY SOCCER RANKINGS OF THE 2026 SEASON

The Panthers have won three in a row and moved into third in the 3A West standings behind Cody and Lander. That impressed just enough voters for Powell to find a spot in the 3A rankings. The Cody Broncs stayed at the top with 11 of the 14 first-place votes. Buffalo received the other ballots for No. 1, and that aided the Bison, who climbed back to second in the poll. Lander fell one spot to third. Worland was a near-unanimous pick in fourth.

The Jackson Broncs went wire-to-wire as the top-ranked team in the 4A boys’ rankings. They earned 13 of the 15 first-place votes. Sheridan got one vote for the top spot, which helped them break a tie for second. Sheridan was three points ahead of Kelly Walsh. The Trojans also got a vote for No. 1, but KW finds itself in third. Thunder Basin picked up the majority of votes for fourth. Cheyenne Central made its way into the fifth spot. The Indians went 3-0-3 down the stretch of the season and moved up to third in the 4A East Conference. That included ties against both Sheridan and Thunder Basin.

Neither girls’ top five changed in our last rankings of the 2026 season.

Cody was a unanimous pick in the 3A girls’ top five for No. 1. The Fillies got all 14 first-place votes. Powell followed in second. Both of those teams have already clinched a spot at next week’s state tournament. Lander remained third. 3A East Conference leader Buffalo kept its spot in fourth, and Mountain View held onto fifth.

In the 4A girls’ rankings, Jackson occupied the top spot for the fifth straight week. The Broncs earned 15 of the 19 first-place votes. Kelly Walsh got one ballot for the top spot, but the Trojans remained second. 4A East Conference regular-season champion Laramie was third again. The Lady Plainsmen received three first-place votes. Despite a loss in its regular-season finale, Thunder Basin held onto fourth, and Green River followed in fifth.
