A couple of 3A defending state champions squared off over the weekend in Draper Utah As Star Valley meet the Summit Academy. Both squads won 3A titles in their respective states a year ago but Star Valley had the upper hand in this game by a considerable margin

In the opening quarter, the braves put 2 touchdowns on the board, one from David Castillo on a 54-yard run to put stay valley in front for good at 7-0. Later in the first quarter, RJ Cazier went in from the 5-yard line for another Star Valley touchdown to increase the lead to 14-0.  The Braves found the end zone again in the 2nd quarter as Dean Shaw rambled 38 yards for the TD so Star Valley led by 22. The offense continued to shine as Brant Nelson scored from the doorstep and Cazier did the same in the 3rd quarter so the Braves led by 36. Summit Academy did get a 4th quarter touchdown but it wasn't nearly enough as star valley beats the Bears. The Braves have won 10 in a row dating back to last season and will travel to Blackfoot, Idaho this week.
