Star Valley Vs. Cody Football [VIDEO]

It was a battle of the #1 and #2 teams in 3A as undefeated Star Valley meet undefeated Cody. This was a very competitive game played very close to the vest. Star valley scored the first touchdown of the game on a 23-yard pass completion from Brant Nelson to Chase Merrill so the Braves led 7-0 and that's the way it stayed in the first half with both defenses really coming to play.

in the 3rd quarter, The braves defense made a gigantic play as James Erickson came up with an interception and took it all the way to the house on a play that covered 61yards to increase the Star Valley lead to 13-0. Cody got right back into the game thanks to a 4 yard Td connection from Hunter Hayes to Tristan Blatt so the Broncs trailing at this point 13-7. In the 4th quarter, Star Valley would find the end zone as nelson got into the end zone from the 1-yard line and it was 20-7. Star Valley wins the 17th straight game and also clinch a #1 seed in the 3A playoffs by winning the west, the final 20-7. The Braves are 8-0 and will host Evanston on Friday. Cody drops to 6-1 and the Broncs will be in Green River this week.
