The 4A 120 pound state title match featured two returning state champions. Clayson Mele of Green River took the 106-pound crown a year ago while Amos Solano of Cheyenne East won the 120-pound group. Mele meant business all year long with a Ron Thon Tournament championship and his 2nd state title in a row with a pin of Solano at the 3:55 mark. Mele is 33-5 on the year and Solano concludes his prep career with a record of 51-5

Colton Gelhausen of Pinedale made a statement with a 3-2 decision over Waylon Nelson of Star Valley in the 3A 120 pound championship match. As a freshman last season, Gelhausen wrestled at 106 pounds and he is a tough customer. He was 33-9 this year. Nelson also turned in a great season with a record of 38-11

In 2A Conner Vickery of Kemmerer beat Cael Thompson of Cokeville 7-5. Vickery saved the best for last as he had a tremendous state tournament after a so so regular season. He finished the year at 21-17, Thompson made quite an impression as a freshman and capped the year 35-16.
