The most dominate wrestler in Wyoming this year was Cody Pinkerton of Douglas. The more you watch his work on the mat, the better he looks. Pinkerton wrestled 55 matches this season and won them all which is a remarkable accomplishment. He capped the season with a pin of Carson Olsen of Powell in the 3A  220-pound title match at the 5:02 mark. Pinkerton is a special breed that has a bright future. Olsen, by the way, finished the year at 22-6.

In 2A, Logan Cole of Thermopolis repeated as a state champion with a tough 4-2 decision over Parker Schlater of Moorcroft. Cole won all the marbles at 220 a year ago and Schlater took 2nd at 195. Cole is also a junior and has a big upside. He was 31-4 this season while Schlater finished at 45-7.

in 4A Brad Whitright gave Cheyenne East a championship with a pin over Kelly Walsh's Phoenix Buske. Whitright took 3rd at 182 pounds a year and Buske competed for 2A Wright a year ago and took 2nd place at 220 pounds. Whitright posted a record of 48-5 while Buske went 37-15.
