The 3rd champion at the Shatto tourney from Thunder Basin was Jais Rose at 145 pounds as he beat a fellow state in Wyatt McDermott from Thermopolis. Rose placed 2nd last year at the state tournament at 132 pounds.
Lance Striefel took 2nd at 120, Cael Porter was 6th at 152, Deyton Johnson was 5th at 160 points, Cort Catlin earned the #4 spot at 170 with Aden Jorgensen taking 2nd at 182. In addition to those guys on this Bolt team, Dillon Glick was 5th at 195 so it was a strong all-around effort.
We had an opportunity to chat with Antonio Avila and Lane Catlin after their championship matches on Saturday. It's nice to end the day on top of the podium!
