Thunder Basin’s Morgan Shirley Signs at UND
After committing back in August, Thunder Basin senior Morgan Shirley made it official earlier this month. She’s heading to the University of North Dakota for soccer.
Shirley was chosen as an all-state and all-conference goalkeeper during her junior season. She allowed only five goals with 12 shutouts in 19 matches last spring and had 75 saves. Shirley helped the Bolts to an overall record of 17-1-1 and a third-place finish at the 2023 Class 4A state championships.
Her senior season will be coming up in the spring of 2024.
Shirley also played in four matches as a sophomore during the 2022 season. She finished with four wins, two saves, and one shutout. The Bolts went 18-0 and won the 4A state title that season (2022).
