Thunder Basin athlete Tyson Edwards plans on resurrecting his career at Chadron State in Nebraska this fall in track and field. Edwards tore his ACL in his knee in the 4th game of the football season and the recovery process is long. In the 2018 season, Edwards was Thunder Basin's leading rusher with 794 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He certainly made a name for himself in track with a 3rd place finish at the 4A state championships in 2019 with a time if 15.31. In that same meet, Edwards placed 4th in the 300 hurdles with a clocking of 41.49. As a sophomore, Edwards took 5th in the 110 hurdles at the state meet.

Edwards also placed 8th in the 55 meter hurdles at the 2018 indoor state championships.
