Tongue River has opened some eyes in 2A football this season with 4 wins without a loss following a 20-8 road win over Upton-Sundance on Friday night. The teams had to endure a weather delay and Tongue River assumed a 13-8 lead in the first half with the defense tightening the screws in the 2nd half. The Eagles got touchdowns from Caleb Kilbride, Tavis Aksamit as well as Alex Barker with quarterback Conner Cousins throwing for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns. Barker had 76 yards on the ground and Kilbride had 8 tackles on defense.

Upton-Sundance put a touchdown on the board in the 2nd quarter from Keaton Mills and the Patriots had 205 yards of total offense in the game. Eli Gill had 46 yards rushing and recorded 10 tackles on defense. Upton-Sundance is 0-2 with a road game at Burns this week. The Eagles will be looking for win #5 this week vs. Newcastle.
