Riverton is much improved this year and the Wolverines flexed their muscles on Friday as they overwhelmed the Torrington Blazers in Fremont County. In the 1st quarter, Caden Werbelow scored on a 1-yard touchdown plunge so that put Riverton ahead for good at 7-0. Riverton took advantage of a Torrington turnover to score again this time on a 3 yard run from Trayton Hyatt so just like that it was a 14-0 point lead in favor of Riverton. Torrington came back with a touchdown of their own in the 2nd quarter with Sam Fimrinac throwing to Keiser Wolfe for 12 yards and TD so the Blazers were back in the game at 14-7

Riverton made a couple of big plays late in the 2nd quarter, Dillon Lange went 40 yards to the end zone to make it 21-7 Wolverines and Lange came back with a 45-yard pass to Blake Dale to bump the lead to 28-7. In the 3rd quarter, Cade Campbell bulled from 2 yards out for another Riverton touchdown which was followed by another touchdown by Trayton Hyatt so, at this point, Riverton had the game well in hand leading 42-7. Blake Rumery Rico added a 4th quarter TD and Tanner Johnson nailed 37-yard field goal and the final here, Riverton 52 and Torrington 7. Riverton is 3-4 on the year will host Rawlins this week. Torrington drops to 1-5 and will be at home on Friday to take on Worland.
