WyoPreps Highlights Riverton's Alexis Taylor For 1,000 Kills

Riverton senior Alexis Taylor surpassed 1,000 kills during the 2025 volleyball season. Taylor accomplished the feat in mid-September and celebrated with her teammates after the match. The senior finished the season with 345 kills, an average of four per set, across 86 sets played. Alexis added 60 service aces, 250 digs, and 12 total blocks in the 2025 season.

Taylor helped Riverton to an overall record of 7-23 this season. The Wolverines were 2-4 and finished third in the 4A Southwest Conference. Riverton lost to Green River in the first round at last weekend’s 4A West Regional Volleyball tournament in Casper. They were eliminated in a tough, five-set loss to Natrona County.

Alexis was an all-conference selection in the 4A West during the 2024 season. As a junior, she had 328 kills, an average of 3.7 per set. Taylor finished last year with 45 service aces, 28 total blocks, 256 digs, and 257 assists. Riverton was 13-17 last season.

Taylor also plays basketball and participates in track and field at RHS. She has earned two varsity letters in basketball and was a starter in the 2024-25 season. Alexis qualified for the state track meet in the 4A discus, where she placed third. She is a three-time state qualifier in the discus.
