This weekend is part one of Wyoming's prep track and field postseason. These are the regional track championship meets at six locations in the state. Shoshoni and Torrington will host two regional competitions simultaneously, while the rest will host one track meet. Those are in Buffalo, Evanston, Gillette, and Powell. Some individuals and relay teams have pre-qualified for next week’s state track championships. At regionals, the top eight in individual events and the top four in relays will also qualify for next week’s state track meet in Casper.

2025 WYOPREPS REGIONAL OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD SCHEDULE

Here are the regional track meets and their start times at the six venues. All regional meets will stay on a schedule to allow student-athletes rest time between events.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY, MAY 16 & 17

1A & 2A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Shoshoni

Schedule: Field Events begin at noon & Track Events at 1:45 p.m. on Friday; 9 & 10 a.m. on Saturday.

1A Teams: Arapahoe Charter, Burlington, Cokeville, Dubois, Encampment, Farson-Eden, Ft. Washakie, Little Snake River, Meeteetse, Riverside, Saratoga, St. Stephens, Ten Sleep, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy

2A Teams: Big Piney, Greybull, Kemmerer, Rocky Mountain, Shoshoni, Thermopolis, Wind River, Wyoming Indian

Burlington swept the 1A team titles, while the Kemmerer girls and Thermopolis boys won the 2A crowns.

1A & 2A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Torrington

Schedule: Field Events start at 10 a.m. & Track Events at 1 p.m. on Friday; 9 & 9:30 a.m. on Saturday

1A Teams: Arvada-Clearmont, Guernsey-Sunrise, H.E.M., Hulett, Kaycee, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Lusk, Midwest, Rock River, Southeast, Upton

2A Teams: Big Horn, Moorcroft, Pine Bluffs, Sundance, Tongue River, Wright

Lingle-Ft. Laramie swept the 1A team championships, and the Wright girls and Big Horn boys won 2A.

3A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Powell

Schedule: Field Events begin at 1 p.m. & Track Events at 1:15 p.m. on Friday; 9 & 9:15 a.m. on Saturday

3A Teams: Cody, Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Mountain View, Pinedale, Powell, Worland

The Lander girls and Lovell boys were the team winners.

3A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Buffalo

Schedule: Field Events start at noon & Track Events at 12:45 p.m. on Friday; 9 & 9:45 a.m. on Saturday

3A Teams: Buffalo, Burns, Douglas, Glenrock, Newcastle, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland

Buffalo swept the team crowns on their home track.

4A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Evanston

Schedule: Field Events begin at noon & Track Events at 1 p.m. on Friday; 9 & 10 a.m. on Saturday

4A Teams: Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley

The Natrona County girls and boys won the team titles.

4A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Gillette (at Campbell County HS)

Schedule: Field Events start at noon & Track Events at 1 p.m. on Friday; 9 & 10 a.m. on Saturday

4A Teams: Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Sheridan took 1st in both divisions of the team standings.
