Ty Peterson of Cody Reaches 100 Win Mark in Wrestling

Cody wrestler Ty Peterson has enjoyed a productive career on the mat and got to the 100-win mark earlier this season. In 2024, he placed 2nd at the tough Bozeman, Montana tournament going 5-1 at 120 pounds, and left the tourney with an overall record of 16-5. He is currently ranked 2nd in 3A at 126 by wyowrestling.com.

In his junior season, Peterson placed 2nd at the 3A State Tournament in Casper at 113 pounds and had an outstanding record of 40-7. He also was the Ron Thon Tournament champion at 113 and that is a prestigious Wyoming Wrestling event. As a sophomore in 2022, Peterson competed at 120 and placed 5th at the 3A State Tournament, accumulating a record of 27-12. He took 5th at 106 pounds in the 2021 State Tournament in 3A going 17-14.

Peterson also has experience with the Cody Wrestling Club.
