Another good season of American Legion baseball just concluded Tuesday for the Jackson Post 43 Giants program.

Despite being shutout in the championship game, Jackson made some history with their first-ever appearance in the title game of the Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class ‘AA’ State Tournament.

After a loss in the first round against Laramie, Jackson avoided elimination three times to reach Tuesday’s championship game. The Giants defeated Rock Springs, Sheridan, and Gillette before they fell to the Oilers.

Jackson manager Jason Huggins just wrapped his 10th year in charge of the Giants program. He and senior catcher Quentin Bruno discussed the runner-up performance and what it meant to the Jackson team in the video above.

The Giants finished 2019 with a 36-23-1 overall record.
