The Wyoming Coaches Association Girls All-Star soccer match on Saturday was tightly contested with the White team beating the Black team 1-0. It was a bit windy and that limited scoring chances but Newcastle's Gabby McVay found the net in the first half and that goal stood up. McVay was an all-state performer in 3A this past season and scored 21 goals for the Dogies.

The defense for the White team was superb with Kelly Walsh's Karli Woodruff playing a big role. She was an all-state defender in 4A in 2023 as the Trojans won the state championship. Even with the weather a bit on the iffy side, both McVay and Woodruff had a great time on the pitch.
